<p>A unity march in Donetsk took a violent turn on April 28, when clashes broke out between pro-Ukrainian protesters and pro-Russian separatists. Observers on the ground said that pro-Russian masked men wielding bats and guns broke up the rally. The men reportedly <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/RolandOliphant/statuses/460820031103057921" target="_blank">disarmed riot police</a> and attacked demonstrators in the street.
