In the east of Ukraine, hundreds of pro-Russian separatists have stormed the regional governor’s headquarters in Luhansk.<br /><br />The Ukrainian government said local police did oppose the move. <br /><br /><br /><br />The separatists reportedly ripped up a portrait of Ukraine’s interim President Oleksandr Turchynov and the Ukrainian government it had information suggesting they will seize the local television centre.<br /><br />The government in Kyiv has all but lost control of its police force in parts of Ukraine’s eastern region.<br /><br /><br /><br />Pro-Russian forces have taken control of Slovyansk and occupy buildings in the city of Donetsk and several towns.
