They have come to bury their dead in Afghanistan.<br/> <br />Landslides in the northeast of the country engulfed hundreds of homes. The death toll may never be known with estimates ranging from 500 up to 2,700.<br/> <br />The Afghan government called the landslide site a mass grave. But hundreds are still digging searching loved ones.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Dari) SON OF WOMAN FOUND DEAD AFTER LANDSLIDE, SAIF UL RAHMAN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"I found my mother's dead body under the mud. My brothers are still here under the mud and I am trying to pull them out. I urge the government to bring us excavators in order to pull out the bodies.
