ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Ukraine's military patrol the roads around the separatist stronghold of Slaviansk, in the east of the country on Tuesday (May 6) a day after more than 30 pro-Russians were killed in fighting near the city.<br/> <br />There was fierce fighting near Slaviansk on Monday (May 5), the interior minister said, after pro-Russian rebels ambushed Ukrainian forces on Monday. Four Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 20 wounded.<br/> <br />The Donetsk Health Department said eight people had been killed in Slaviansk as a result of the operation on Tuesday and 16 were being treated with gunshot wounds from fighting there.
