A military police building is destroyed in Yemen.<br/> <br />State news reports that a suicide car bomber killed at least 10 Yemeni soldiers and a civilian in the city of Mukallah.<br/> <br />The blast appears to be a revenge attack by al Qaeda.<br/> <br />The Yemeni army is currently trying to crush Islamist insurgents in the south.<br/> <br />In the capital Sanaa, security officials are on high alert.<br/> <br />Soldiers are deployed on the streets to search cars for possible weapons.<br/> <br />One resident is pleased with their efforts.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SANAA RESIDENT ABDULKARIM ALZANI SAYING:<br/> <br />"We tell the army to be alert and that we are standing by them against al-Qaeda and terrorism."<br/> <br />The bombing and the heightened security come amid increased attacks in recent days.<br/> <br />In another incident Sunday, three militants were killed after they tried to attack a security checkpoint in the capital.
