A ferry carrying at least 200 people has capsized during a storm in Bangladesh. <br /><br />Desperate relatives gathered on the banks of the Meghna river, south of the capital Dhaka. <br /><br />Police say around 40 of those on board were able to swim ashore. But the first bodies have also been recovered, as a search continues.<br /><br />Bangladesh has a history of ferry disasters, with casualties sometimes running into hundreds due <br />to overcrowding and lack of enforcement of safety standards such as numbers of lifeboats.
