Credit Suisse has pleaded guilty to helping some US clients avoid paying taxes to the American government.<br /><br />It is to pay a fine of 1.8 million euros.<br />However as part of a deal the attorney general’s office the Swiss banking giant will not lose its licence in the US.<br /><br />Credit Suisse is not alone. US prosecutors are chasing more than a dozen other Swiss banks for allegedly helping wealthy Americans to dodge US taxes.
