This area was packed with people when the first explosion took place here in Jos, a city in the centre of Nigeria.<br/> <br />The busy market place was targeted in the afternoon.<br/> <br />The aim was to kill as many people as possible.<br/> <br />About 30 minutes later, as the wounded were taken to hospital the second bomb was detonated closeby.<br/> <br />More than 100 people were killed, most of them women....and the death toll is rising.<br/> <br />Bodies were burned beyond recognition and body parts strewn throughout the rubble.<br/> <br />No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but Boko Haram militants have carried out a spate of recent bombings.<br/> <br />The Islamist extremists are still holding more than 200 schoolgirls.<br/> <br />For the most part the insurgency has been largely confined to the northeast but that's now no longer the case.
