ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />More than 30 people were injured when a high-speed ferry carrying 162 passengers bound for Macau collided with a mainland Chinese cargo ship in Hong Kong waters late on Wednesday (May 21).<br/> <br />The crash happened near Cheung Chau ferry pier around half an hour into the journey, causing damage to both vessels.<br/> <br />Pictures on local news channel ATV showed passengers inside wearing life vests as the ferry pulled into the Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan.<br/> <br />The passengers on the ferry consisted of 102 from a mainland tour group, 55 Hong Kong and Macau residents, and five foreigners, Radio Television Hong Kong reported.<br/> <br />ATV reported that 35 people with minor injuries were taken from the ferry to hospitals.<br/> <br />No casualties were reported on the mainland ship.
