Police are on scene of a drive-by shooting near the University of California at Santa Barbara.<br/> <br />At least six people were killed when a lone gunman sprayed bullets from a vehicle.<br/> <br />The Country Sheriff said seven more people were wounded in what is described as a "premeditated atrocity."<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"(sobbing) I just thought it was like an airsoft gun or something, so I was like hey what up? And I turned around and started walking the other way, and then like he shot (crying)."<br/> <br />The Sheriff said deputies twice exchanged fire with the gunman.<br/> <br />This, before his vehicle crashed. He was found dead inside from a gunshot wound to the head.<br/> <br />It is not clear whether the suspected gunman was killed by deputies or died of a self-inflicted wound.
