Determined not to be upstaged in the absurd tuning stakes, the German power-merchant Mansory has unleashed its own take on the G63 6x6, and it makes Brabus's effort look like a pussycat.

For where the Brabus 6x6 makes a piffling 690bhp from its 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8, Mansory has managed to bump the same engine up to a far healthier 829bhp, along with 1000Nm of torque.

How, you ask? With 'genuine race components' including fresh pistons, conrods, a crankshaft, cylinder head and more. Mansory hasn't revealed performance figures, but assume it'll crack the 0 to 100kmph run even quicker than the Brabus's 4.4-second effort. In something weighing close to four tonnes, that's a trifle concerning.

As is Mansory's want, the 6x6 has received some visual, ahem, upgrades, because the standard car is clearly far too anonymous. Mansory has gifted the big brute new headlights along with a fresh grille and bonnet rendered in 'only the finest visible carbon'. You also get new mirror housings and a Mansory bodykit for, y'know, downforce or something.

Price? No word yet, but likely even more than the Rs 4.7 crore asking price for the Brabus 6x6. But hey, on a per-wheel basis, it might just be a bargain...
