Libya's newly-elected prime minister has promised to fight what he describes as a terrorism phenomenon.<br /><br />The country has been plagued with instability and there have been frequent confrontations between rival groups. There are fears that Libya is sliding into civil war.<br /><br />On Monday, the UN Security Council is due to be briefed on the violence.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker reports from Tripoli.
