Lonely roads and lonely poems <br />have a lot in common with me <br />Never seems that what’s perceived <br />shall ever come to be <br /> <br />Whistle stops along my way <br />Familiar faces seen <br />Nothing mattered yesterday <br />Tomorrow is just a dream <br /> <br />This narrow road just got rough <br />Dark trees are leaning in <br />The way ahead so painfully tough <br />since my wandering began <br /> <br />Why did I wander from my path <br />My eyes so completely blinded <br />Nothing ever seems to last <br />when hearts are left divided <br /> <br />A sound path I left behind <br />benign of any fears <br />A lonely heart, trapped, alas <br />trapped within my guilty tears <br /> <br />Suckled to a binding Truth <br />Bound until my death <br />Bound to see this journey through <br />until my dying breath <br /> <br />How do I find that halfway point <br />When the end is not in sight <br />And in grace, I not disappoint <br />the victim in this plight <br /> <br />A fog bank now blinds my path <br />A veil before my stead <br />Still, in darkness, True Love reigns <br />and faithfully grades the road I’ve tread<br /><br />Psaltydog's Thoughts<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/lonely-roads-and-lonely-poems/
