Just because the flowers <br />are blooming now <br />Just because the fruits <br />have ripened now <br />Just because the stems <br />have lengthened now <br />The gardener thinks <br />that he may now go on <br />to other endeavors. <br />But the flowers bloom for <br />those who love them <br />And now that they are <br />left all alone <br />they shrivel back into <br />silent death <br />With no one <br />to see their tears. <br />The gardener may return <br />some day <br />and blame the flowers, <br />'O! How could you <br />have withered when I <br />took so long to raise you!
