I blew out my brains with a handgun. <br />Instead of blood <br />Came splatters of bleach. <br />Following the momentum of the bullet. <br /> <br />Strangers gawked at the exit wound. <br /> <br />Admiring the clean precision <br />Afforded to those <br />With a slight knowledge <br />Of anatomy. <br /> <br />When I thought, <br />A shadow dripped <br />Across the hole. <br />Like stalactites <br />Growing in a cave. <br /> <br />In silent moments, <br />The hole shone clear. <br /> <br />Sunshine played through it. <br />Strangers commented <br />That it looked <br />“Very pretty.” <br /> <br />I enjoyed the silent moments so much, <br />I have yet to think.<br /><br />A.j.
