A breath escapes her lips, <br />A tear falls from her eye, <br />A thought crosses her mind, <br />Still, <br />Outside She Smiles. <br /> <br />All the lonely nights, <br />Flash in front of her eyes, <br />She shivers silently with the wind, <br />Yet, <br />Outside She Smiles. <br /> <br />She laughs the loudest laugh, <br />Her face glowing in the light, <br />No one can see the broken soul, <br />Because, <br />Outside She Smiles. <br /> <br />She misses the company she never had, <br />The healing embrace she doesnt know, <br />With long nights of staring into the blanknes, <br />But, <br />Outside She Smiles. <br /> <br />She remembers hugging her pillow, <br />Her only faithful friend, <br />Never remembering the time she falls asleep, <br />And, <br />Outside She Smiles. <br /> <br />Sunny days are nothing but moments, <br />Moments that come and go with time, <br />In this long Winter, she yearns for the sun, <br />And in that hope, <br />Outside She Smiles.<br /><br />Anjali Gupta<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/outside-she-smiles/
