The smile you showed as we were together <br />I took it for granted- <br />Why would I care for a stupid kid? <br />Although we about were the same age <br />I felt as if we were eons apart <br /> <br />I always ran away as you chased me <br />Forever declaring my disdain of you. <br /> <br />Did I hurt you as I ran away? <br />I reached out, although rejecting <br />To the you that never left me <br />But once. <br /> <br />If you hadn’t left, would we have been friends? <br />In the end I never said a thing <br /> <br />Those words you whispered in my ear- <br />They are already a distant part of my memories. <br /> <br /> <br />(I wrote this more to remember someone- but I keep changing it because something feels off about it. Kudos to who ever can figure it out.
