Lying in the breeze, just listening to the trees whispering to me <br /> “Don’t tell anyone” they would plea <br />“Don’t tell anyone the truths about what we’ve said”. <br /> <br />They all stand there so innocent in the ground <br />You’d never think a tree would make even a little sound <br /> <br />But I can hear them whispering to me <br />Telling me I’m not wrong <br />People disbelieve when I say I talk to trees <br />They just laugh and think I need some sleep <br />No one thinks they’re alive <br />I know they are, you just have to look deep inside <br /> <br />I’ll go to visit my trees after school <br />Ramble on about all the stuff I have to do <br />But they don’t mind <br />After all, trees are so very kind <br /> <br />They like to be touched by the softest hands <br />Gliding over their bark <br />They love it when the moon and stars come out <br />Hiding away in the dark <br /> <br />They told me they like it when the summer comes <br />And warms up the soil <br />When their leaves turn bright green <br />Unlike the frozen winter sod..
