I was a lost, tormented, broken soul, <br />On to many human experiences in this life, <br />Greeted by human poverty and sorrows, <br />I chose a path of ridicule and strife. <br /> <br />It's been a long and painful journey, <br />Peace and acceptance has finally set me free, <br />I feel the Great Spirit wildly moving, <br />Healing the broken soul inside of me. <br /> <br />Journeys are more of a eternal experience, <br />Where energy flows connecting us to each other, <br />All human beings struggle with the concept, <br />We’ve all come to heal the Great Earth Mother. <br /> <br />To truly understand our destiny and path, <br />Takes some Eternal beings a life time or two, <br />We fear the unknown powers at work, <br />For the feelings are overwhelming and new. <br /> <br />They journey maybe happy or difficult, <br />Creating your own peace is the ultimate key, <br />To unlocking all your forgotten memories, <br />And releasing your human experiences free. <br /> <br />It’s been a struggling journey for me, <br />One that I give thanks to everyday, <br />Because I’ve found that peace I needed, <br />To cast the negative human experience away.<br /><br />Annalee Hopkins Somerville<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/eternal-inner-peace/
