'missing in action'... <br />they didnt know... <br />dont get your hopes up, <br />we're doing all we can... <br /> <br />she lay on the bed <br />and wept uncontrollably... <br />the little boy sat in the darkness, <br />thinking... <br /> <br />he got down off his bed, <br />and down on his knees: <br />'God, if you're out there, <br />if you're real... <br /> <br />help my mommy, help me, <br />bring my daddy home! ' <br />the room was still, <br />he could hear his own breathing... <br /> <br />suddenly light poured through <br />the window, and flooded his room. <br />the little boy got up <br />and ran to his mother's side. <br /> <br />'mommy, mommy, daddy's ok, <br />he's not lost...' <br />'what do you mean, honey? <br />what are you saying? ' <br /> <br />'he's not lost, mommy... <br />remember what he said <br /> before he left... <br />he's in our hearts! ' <br /> <br />she took the little boy <br />in her arms and hugged him... <br />they fell asleep in the stillness. <br />the next morning the phone rang. <br /> <br />she answered, and listened, <br />her mouth agape... <br />'what is it mommy, what is it?
