Reflections I cast on my twenty time worn years, <br />an evil has removed or stolen my tears, <br />I regard life as wine that remains untasted, <br />all comes right in the end but my hope is wasted. <br /> <br />Words seem to deny my tongue when I should speak out, <br />chances held by silent lips when my heart would shout, <br />take hold on the beams of love, make secure and tight, <br />lest they disappear in the dark before loves light. <br /> <br />Winding winds pass the door drawing mysterious beams, <br />do not fear or lose your chance, the loss of all your dreams, <br />an answer will arise to you the reason in a trance, <br />the need of love comes and goes onward in the dance. <br /> <br />see the way and realise the beams just are not all, <br />in your mind are lasting dreams you only need recall.<br /><br />Richard Allen Beevor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ode-to-love-beams/
