Hopes dashed among the rocks, <br />Happiness spreads wings and takes flight, <br />The light leaves the eyes that once sparkled bright, <br />But now dull and impassive. <br />Unable to read the message written there, changes, <br />Features dulled and dimmed, skin lost that glow, changes, <br />Shoulders slumped, head down, feet draggin’ <br />Time passing too slowly, but yet too quickly, changes, <br />Days too dark, not enough light, changes, <br />Wanting to scream and rant and rave. <br />Anger, the rage boiling up inside, <br />Trying to take over all other emotions. <br />Leaving depression as the aftermath, changes, <br />Feelin’ weak and weary, walking through this world alone. <br />Feels like been buried underneath all the weight of the world, <br />Not supposed to be scared of anything, <br />But don’t know where am, <br />Trying hard to breathe, no air in lungs, <br />Pain inside is making numb, <br />Not knowing what to do, where to turn, <br />So tired, wanting to lay down. <br />But can’t something unknown pushing on, <br />Stumbling through this dark tunnel, <br />Looking for the light, <br />Changes, changes, <br />Wondering if I will ever reach the end. <br />Blind and shaking, bound and breaking, hoping to make it through all these changes, <br />Changes.
