Do you ever watch old western movies? <br />I have and it just seems to me <br />The way women were portrayed back then <br />Do not come off believably <br /> <br />They’re either both rough and nasty <br />Or they’re a doormat for a man <br />For when they’re treated very badly <br />Won’t rise up and take a stand <br /> <br />Of course we had Dale Evans <br />Now she was my kind of gal <br />If she had an opinion she said it <br />She wasn’t afraid to say foul <br /> <br />But many cry and carry on instead <br />Of putting their hands on their hips <br />And chewing people out like they deserved <br />Rather they whine and pout their lips <br /> <br />What do you think ladies? <br />Do you have the same opinion as I? <br />Do you wish women in old western movies <br />Stood up for themselves instead of cry?<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/women-in-old-western-movies/
