Weather We’re Having <br /> <br />There’s an earthly low fog today <br />faded land with ghostly trees <br />where roads disappear. <br /> <br />The dragging overcast meets <br />the forecast: “somewhat dreary.” <br />Everything pales before the eyes, <br /> <br />yet things are felt near all around. <br />As you merge into the atmosphere <br />the landscape slowly reappears. <br /> <br />Focus comes then shifts away <br />behind you into nothingness <br />as each step drifts into another. <br /> <br />Before long there is a grey screen <br />behind the hills covered with trees <br />and a curtain ending on every road. <br /> <br /> <br />© RH Peat 12/3/2010 1: 42pm <br />Form 5 tercets/ 15 lines <br />Metaphor: We each must die someday.<br /><br />Ronald Peat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/2-weather-we-re-having/
