I have a tale to tell, <br />A tale of a young lass, <br />beautiful and lively, <br />I saw her through a glass. <br />Her teasing smiling eyes, <br />I couldn't help but stare, <br />this bistro, today full of surprises, <br />it was less mostly a daily affair. <br />She was seated next to a friend, <br />giggling and comforted, <br />I took the usual table, <br />and had my meal sorted. <br />This young pretty lass, <br />after a while, she seemed restless, <br />and gushed out of the inn, <br />she was breathless. <br />Her friend rubbed her back, <br />gave her a warm hug, <br />but she didn't seemed alright, <br />panicked air she chugged. <br />Then in a moment or so, <br />panic scavengers hovered, <br />and rose the hue and cry, <br />the doctor not yet bothered. <br />Some made her drink water, <br />some yelled out her ears, <br />others just stared at her <br />face troubled with tears. <br />Her anxiety grew, <br />breaths were louder more, <br />then her friends took her, <br />to the doctor next door. <br />That's all I saw, <br />to sigh a relief, <br />and noticed a fair face, <br />smiling as she met my gaze <br />I am afraid, all I could do was eat <br />I might not tell you to be concerned <br />stand dumbstruck seeing someone's pain, <br />but feel a bit responsible and learn, <br />with a doctor next door, don't try to be proven sane.<br /><br />Chaitanya Dorwat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/one-night-at-an-inn/
