A raging wind in driving rain, <br />come thickest fog to shallow mist, <br />hard the sun must persist. <br /> <br />The howl of a dog steeped in rain <br />cries endless through the silent gloom, <br />yet still a warming flame breaks through <br />in light. <br /> <br />Snow so cold, hail so hard, <br />the thunder and lightening storm, <br />summer sun appears forlorn. <br /> <br />Greying of days blackest of nights, <br />sunny times come to sight, <br />fearsome chill and charging gale, <br />let summer sun melt the hail. <br /> <br />Light dim in yellowed grey <br />but soon the cold must give way, <br />defiant frost try as you may <br />to fight our sun at break of day. <br /> <br />North wind cease to blow no more, <br />frozen snow has gone for sure, <br />rain dies as it drops to dry, <br />sun! glorious warmth adorns the sky. <br /> <br />Now you know what else you do, <br />weather be for me or you.<br /><br />Richard Allen Beevor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/weather-be-for-me-or-you/
