Friendship has two wide welcome gates <br />Through which have come all friends and mates: <br />Shared loves and interests, <br />Shared enemies and hates; <br />Friends last long; mates have shorter dates. <br />________________________________________________ <br />A five liner, similar rhyme scheme, and yet <br />this is no limerick, nor is it cast in anapaest <br />metre. It is iambic tetra metre.
