Portuguese and British police have started to dig in a new site in Praia da Luz in the Algarve in the hope of resolving the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.<br /><br />Officers have been searching in the area for six days, but have given little information about the operation.<br /><br />Madeleine disappeared from a holiday apartment in May 2007.
