Hoover Dam is just amazing <br />We were privileged to observe <br />Nestled in the Colorado River <br />A construction that has served <br /> <br />The building began in 1931 <br />And it was completed in 1935 <br />Two years ahead of schedule <br />It was really an amazing drive <br /> <br />This dam was named for a president <br />Herbert Hoover was his name <br />If it hadn’t been for this structure <br />Nothing will be quite the same <br /> <br />This dam was considered to be <br />And it’s not at all a mystery <br />One of the greatest engineering <br />Projects in American history!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/hoover-dam/
