The more I become satisfied... <br />I am no longer dissatisfied, <br />With a life I had taken for granted. <br />I feel an aloneness without complaints. <br />I feel a clarity disconnected, <br />From those who bitch! <br /> <br />It is as if my gratefulness, <br />I should hide and protect! <br />What if I am suspected... <br />Of a happiness accepted? <br />And a smile I flaunt, <br />Becomes a threat the desperate want? <br /> <br />Tossing and turning as I attempt to sleep... <br />Haunted by taunts, <br />My good feeling is about to be taken away by thieves! <br />So I get up to inspect my peacefulness. <br />Hoping to hold onto it for as long as I can! <br />And after I take my midnight pee... <br />I light a cigarette and have a cup of coffee. <br />Sitting I wonder... <br />'Why? <br />Why do I, <br />Feel so damn good about my life?
