Remembering <br /> <br />Remembering how I used to feel <br />When you first noticed me, <br />When you brought me gifts, <br />Little things, made of wood <br />Or bits of paper. <br /> <br />Remembering how my heart leapt <br />When you said you loved me, <br />Kissed me and held me. <br />It would always be like this, <br />Nothing would change. <br /> <br />Remembering how complete I felt <br />The day you married me. <br />You loved me, cherished me, <br />Complemented me. <br />We had love in our lives. <br /> <br />Remembering the loving times, <br />The surprise hugs and kisses, <br />The walking and just talking. <br />Happy to be together <br />Sharing everything. <br /> <br />Remembering when the children came, <br />The joy we shared about them, <br />The fun and games, sad times and bad, <br />But through them all a thread of love, <br />Binding us together. <br /> <br />Remembering is all that I can do <br />For loving and sharing have gone, <br />No more caresses or gentle kiss, <br />No gifts, no fun, or useless chat. <br />Even with you, I am now alone. <br /> <br />Remembering –<br /><br />Sara Neame<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/remembering-22/
