A vessel made by God above <br />Was formed for use on earth <br />So humble, yet with all His love <br />A cup was given birth <br /> <br />Through many hands in common use <br />It passed from day to day <br />Defiled and marred through man’s abuse <br />As refuse cast away <br /> <br />Created with much love and care <br />By God’s own hand designed <br />The cup lay now in disrepair <br />In filth where none should find <br /> <br />Yet all was in The Master’s sight <br />The sorrow and the pain <br />So sad to see His vessel’s plight <br />God’s hand reached out again <br /> <br />God sent His Son to wash it clean <br />With love to be restored <br />Again as new it should be seen <br />In service of The Lord <br /> <br />Within The Potter’s skilful hand <br />Reforming simple soil <br />To help His children understand <br />Christ fills with precious oil <br /> <br />In streams, the Liquid Light must flow <br />Must saturate the earth <br />Must cause the barren land to grow <br />And bring His bride to birth <br /> <br />Salvation’s well can never drain <br />When used, it fills anew <br />So in His hand God’s cup again <br />Will quench the chosen few…<br /><br />Michael P.
