In the dead silence of night <br />A thought comes to light <br />As I reach for a late night snack <br />She's gone......she's not coming back <br /> <br />If I'm right, I made a mistake <br />Fell for one with a hollow heart <br />Now feel absolute longing <br />later I'll feel the hearbreak <br /> <br />I never felt love so strongly before <br />She came in my life though an unlocked door <br />For the first time I felt my dreams soar <br />But that was only a dream and won't be anymore <br /> <br />So softly she came into my heart <br />But it happend from the very start <br />From the first time we spoke <br />Now it seems it's all gone up in smoke <br /> <br />She has a fragile heart that can't belive <br />She lives in her dark sadness and can't leave <br />She has a problem with trust <br />That turns anyhing shiny to rust <br /> <br />She warned me she did <br />That she was hurt deeply before <br />And she tries to care, but trying hurts more <br />The closer she feels....faster she heads for the door <br /> <br />I felt her heart close, because of words I chose <br />I knew it was a mistake <br />the minute I told her <br />I had baked someone a cake <br /> <br />She felt her heart wince inside <br />And all she felt was her own pain <br />She didn't wait for the truth or let me explain <br />All my dreams of love are in vain <br /> <br />In the dead silence of night <br />A thought comes to light <br />I feel inside what must be a heart attack <br />She's gone......she's not coming back<br /><br />JAMES T.
