You may dismiss me during the fast <br />Moving performances taking place, <br />Pay more attention to costume and cast <br />A spell over those sitting in the audience. <br /> <br />If you had sons or daughters in the dance <br />You would know what this means outside, <br />Stood behind the crowd to get one chance, <br />And join forces to cheer the recital inside. <br /> <br />Before the end we congratulate the children, <br />Because they had done something new <br />To hear others opinion and had a great time, <br />Waiting in the auditorium for another review. <br /> <br />The thrill of recitals is filled with pleasure <br />Around the stage whole families are waiting <br />Moments to treasure the experience together, <br />And know recital time is even more amazing. <br /> <br />Voices on screen caught joy in a million pieces, <br />And there is a finale all entertainers gather in, <br />A sort of camaraderie hierarchy of artistic faces, <br />Took their deserved bow for gladly performing.<br /><br />Gerry Legister<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dance-recital/
