With every second, my heart breaks <br />with every step, I die a little. <br />Knowing that you were always there for me, <br />and now- now you're gone. <br />You cared for me and you loved me, <br />you promised you'd always protect me, <br />but how can you now that you're gone? <br />You made me laugh, <br />and now you make me cry, <br />knowing that this <br />is goodbye. <br />I hide the tears, <br />that stream down my face, <br />because the last thing you need to see, <br />is see my cry. <br />What will I do, <br />now that you're gone, <br />you've been there for me, <br />since my very first dawn. <br />I knew one day, <br />this would come, <br />but never did I think <br />it would so soon. <br />Now that you're gone, <br />I'm on my own, <br />now that you're gone, <br />my tears are endless.<br /><br />Katherine Bryce<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/now-that-you-re-gone-12/
