In every family it would seem <br />There`s always one that will sit and dream <br />There are those are incredibly kind <br />No matter what, they don’t seem to mind <br /> <br />There are those who drink and fall down <br />And spend their lives acting like a clown <br />Then there are the ones who live at the mall <br />Shopping for clothes winter to fall <br /> <br />Or the grumpy old man who`s always in a mood <br />Who just stomps around acting like a prude <br />Then theres the old lady who likes to cook and bake <br />You`re making us fat for goodness sake <br /> <br />Or the one who likes to stir the pot <br />A good spanking they never got <br />Then of course there is the know it all <br />Who always seems to have the biggest fall <br /> <br />And of course the one who out the closet does spring <br />What a surprise that seems to bring <br />There are those who crash and burn <br />When will they ever learn <br /> <br />Then there are those who are at each other’s throats <br />Then back the winner sits and gloats <br />There`s always one who in the mirror will look <br />Or one who wants to write a book <br /> <br />Then there’s one always asking why <br />Or another who around the world will fly <br />Then there’s one with the flashy car <br />Or the other who just sits in the bar <br /> <br />Or the one who gives everything they`ve got <br />And thinks everyone else has lost the plot <br />And then the one who has to shout <br />And no one knows what the fuss is about <br /> <br />Then there’s the one who does attention seek <br />Who tends to make you feel so bleak <br />So no matter who you think you are <br />And that your family is the craziest by far <br /> <br />And no matter which family you`ve got <br />If you think you`re unique, you`re not <br />The short the fat the skinny the tall <br />Every family has them all<br /><br />Vaughn Bekker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/our-families-light-humor-all-will-relate/
