He's a little demon with beautiful eyes, <br />Beautifully blue, like the midday skies. <br />He calls me grampa, and smiles my way, <br />And under his spell, I want to stay. <br /> <br />He'll give me a hug, then poke my eyes, <br />I'll slap his bottom, and he playfully cries. <br />He'll give me a kiss, then pull my hair, <br />We're made for each other, God what a pair. <br /> <br />His first words in the morning go like this, <br />Grandma give me coffee, some coffee please. <br />Then he'll drink his by my side with his food, <br />And murmur to himself, uummm it's so good. <br /> <br />He thinks he drinks coffee, just like me, <br />More like sugar with milk, with very little coffee. <br />But he is so happy with his morning fare, <br />Like I said before, God what a pair. <br /> <br />Then he's a terror, the rest of the day, <br />He never sits down, he just wants to play. <br />And I have to follow on my ancient knees, <br />Cause he'll turn and say, 'come on grampa please.' <br /> <br /> <br />(7/25/11-Alton Texas)<br /><br />Juan Olivarez<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-little-demon-with-beautiful-eyes/
