I thought I'd known of love before <br />I thought my feelings true <br />Till Heaven opened wide the door <br />And Jesus I felt You! <br /> <br />I thought the years had made me see <br />Had made me understand <br />Till true love came to set me free <br />And take me by the hand <br /> <br />Oh Lord sweet God who could have known? <br />What more has man perceived? <br />Such power to melt a heart of stone <br />Through He they have believed <br /> <br />Who can describe the great unknown? <br />Your secret things unfold <br />Where even spirits only groan <br />Of what remains untold <br /> <br />But yet is true love realised <br />Within The Truth You give <br />Forever is immortalized <br />In Him through which we live <br /> <br />Why did I have to wait so long? <br />For love my God to thrive <br />For me to sing it's awesome song <br />And truly come alive <br /> <br />I pray more children would awake <br />Would quicken more these days <br />Till all the earth may feel the quake <br />And sing The Master’s praise <br /> <br />But until true love’s contagious <br />Until the world’s on fire <br />Let us live and serve courageous <br />As those yet lost require<br /><br />Michael P.
