A walk in the forest <br />Two paths ahead <br />Should I take the familiar <br />Or the new one instead? <br /> <br />To the left I am comfortable <br />I know where it will take me <br />I've walked this path for years <br />I know my boundaries <br /> <br />To the right is an adventure <br />Something intriguing and new <br />It looks to be more fun <br />But where will it lead me to? <br /> <br />The left path is a wide one <br />Strong and well traveled on <br />This path takes me to security <br />Though it's a boring one <br /> <br />The right path is very narrow <br />I can barely see it for the vines <br />But it calls to me with excitement <br />Not within the boring lines <br /> <br />Which path is the one for me <br />Which joy should I choose <br />What do I have to gain <br />What do I have to lose?<br /><br />Charlie Bain<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/two-paths-8/
