I have two playful kittens <br />They are so awful nice, <br />They creep with stealthy footsteps <br />To catch the tawny mice. <br />They romp and play together <br />They have such heaps of fun, <br />One is white, with blue spots <br />Malteese, the other one. <br /> <br />Malteese, we call him Bluey <br />The white one's name is Teaser, <br />And sometimes he gets so rough <br />He slaps bluey on the beaser. <br /> <br />They play hide-and-seek together <br />Around the stove and chairs, <br />Under beds, behind the doors <br />Up and down the stairs. <br /> <br />They've growed so much, those kittens <br />You'd never, never know, <br />They were the same little kittens <br />Of so short a time ago. <br /> <br />Written for - Clarice James 1933<br /><br />Della Hodgson James<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-pets-4/
