The sky may be too high for me to reach <br />But I wouldn't like the feel of it anyway <br />The ones who say your obliged to teach <br />Do not have any knowledge to give away <br /> <br />The floor may be right beneath my feet <br />But I'm given the chance to fly away <br />Now me and the sky are about to meet <br />I wonder if it'll make me want to stay <br /> <br />The lack of air makes it hard to breath <br />The clouds look soft but feel like ocean spray <br />The fall to come makes it hard to leave <br />But soon the clouds would become dark and grey <br /> <br />As I finaly hit the floor once again <br />The clouds thicken and trees begin to sway <br />As i realise I'm still in the pouring rain <br />I should've gone in the direction I'm about to pray<br /><br />Liam Hughes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-rise-and-fall-2/
