Every life should have laughter, <br />at least one dose a day, <br />and everyone should be able to laugh <br />at themselves in some way. <br />I feel sad for all those <br />whom can't raise a smile, <br />and there are many I am afraid. <br /> <br />I am a practical joker <br />and I have my rules. <br />Rule one: Is no one should <br />get physically injured an anyway. <br />A dent in one's pride <br />or a little embarrassment <br />never hurt anyone at all. <br />Rule two: Only practical joke <br />those who can do one back to you <br />and don't take offence. <br /> <br />In my time I have played <br />many on my friends, <br />from invisible records to wombles, <br />toy computers to mermaids. <br />But always the joke <br />is my way of saying, <br />I happen to like you. <br />You never joke with your enemies <br />or persons who will take it the wrong way. <br /> <br />I like to bring a smile to everyone I meet. <br />Tears of laughter are my forte, <br />not the red eyes of hurt. <br />My jokes are a reward <br />of my friendship <br />and my outstretched caring hand <br />to help bring a smile a day. <br /> <br /> <br />20 March 2013<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/practical-jokes-and-jokers/
