The seed of a thistle to a rose tree does not grow <br />And like 'tis said of karma we receive what we sow <br />And what goes round does come around those words ring ever true <br />The karma we receive in life is the karma we are due <br />My neighbour Pete's a poor man but he is very kind <br />And a more helpful man than him one could not wish to find <br />To help out poor old people he goes out of his way <br />The good karma he's sowing for himself will come to him one day <br />On the Universal karma I am one who does believe <br />The karma we pay into is the karma we receive <br />For good or for bad karma the choice is ours to make <br />We cannot expect to receive if we only take and take <br />The Universal Karma seems real enough to me <br />Though many with what I do say would surely disagree.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/like-tis-said-of-karma/
