I never send a card for your birthday <br /> I'm not good at remembering dates. <br />It's not that I'm not thinking of you <br /> it's just one of my many bad traits. <br /> <br />I think of you quite often brother <br /> and usually get a smile on my face. <br />Recalling time we've shared on this earth <br /> as we wandered all over the place. <br /> <br />In the city or out in the country <br /> we had a time I think, don't you? <br />As we watched out for each other <br /> that's what brothers and sisters do. <br /> <br />It seems there is never enough time <br /> to sit on the porch and drink tea. <br />Recalling the good and the bad times <br /> just my big brother Billy, and me. <br /> <br />Perhaps when we make it to heaven <br /> we'll find a porch and a good cup of tea. <br />Then we'll visit with all of our loved ones <br /> and have time; for all of eternity. <br /> <br /> c.d.m.4-15-10<br /><br />cheryl davis miller<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/brother-billy/
