There is this gene in all of us <br />That makes us a human kind, <br />And yet exists this unknown force <br />That divides us all than bind... <br />If we treated all men alike, <br />And lived in love and peace, <br />We had all the things we need <br />For a world of eternal bliss. <br />It's all in the humanity, <br />It's in being all-kind, <br />That we grow together <br />And happiness all we find. <br />This is the world I envisage: <br />A world free of hate, <br />Where someone's success <br />Makes another feel great. <br />In a world I perceive as safe, <br />In a society I call free, <br />One doesn't wage a war, <br />When neighbors disagree. <br />In the Utopia I dream of <br />Where all is free to will, <br />As none wants to die, <br />None dares to kill. <br />Reciprocity rules the rules <br />In Utopian version of humanhood, <br />Untold, by free will, <br />I do what in others I see as good; <br />And what, I know, hate and despise <br />To do unto others is unwise.<br /><br />Amare Abebe<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/utopia-35/
