I carry with me all that I hold onto. <br />All that I wish wasn’t with me, <br />I continue to carry it all. <br />And moan about its weight. <br />All the worries of past, future and present <br />I hold onto tight, <br />So that others cant see. <br />As they don’t have to worry about it. <br />It's mine. <br />I hold onto all that burdens me, <br />And as time continues on, <br />I amass more things to hold on to. <br />I carry with me all that holds me back. <br />I keep with me things that I don’t wish t keep. <br />But I know I have the ability to let go <br />and stop carrying all that I feel I should. <br />I can stop carrying all that others expect me to, <br />And I can stop carrying all that stops me from going forward. <br />So when I move on in time, <br />And future people see me, <br />What they don’t see, <br />And don’t have to get to know, <br />Is all that I hold onto, <br />As I will be holding onto it no more.<br /><br />Marc Robinson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/all-that-i-hold-onto/
