I have yet to meet anyone, <br />Who had a need to be rejected. <br />I have yet to hear with my ears, <br />From anyone's lips... <br />A request from them begging for it. <br /> <br />And yet there are those who reject others, <br />As if to smother them with neglect. <br />With a doing of it, <br />To express no regret or appear to be apologetic. <br /> <br />There are exceptions to the rule of this, <br />When inflicted and applied... <br />To those who do this and deny. <br />They will exlaim when the tables are turned on them, <br />A wholesomeness within them sits. <br />And all they do is give of themselves to others. <br />But the others have druthers to choose the opposite. <br />With rejection on top of their priority list. <br /> <br />I have yet to meet anyone, <br />Who had a need to be rejected. <br />I have yet to hear with my ears clearly, <br />A request from them begging for it. <br />Begging and pleading from trembling lips, <br />To get as much rejection as they can get. <br />Have you?<br /><br />Lawrence S.
