Even though I stand on a balcony of marble <br />Lofty enough to overlook the lands, <br />The butterfly explosions in the sky <br />Still soar above me in Starlight's Hands. <br /> <br />And for some reason, <br />Whilst these fire-glows slip into my eyes, <br />I find it difficult to muster up thoughts <br />Of orchestras that do not rise. <br /> <br />Why is it that I feel like <br />Because of these bright-winged birds <br />That an abused child <br />Is sitting at her private tree <br />Completely lost for words? <br /> <br />Why is it that I feel like <br />Because of these squid fire-signs <br />That a glint lurks now in every eye <br />Of every marine <br />Behind enemy lines? <br /> <br />Why is it that I feel like <br />Because of these lights over Sugar Hill <br />That a gathering of lonely elderlies <br />Are standing there <br />Somehow awake still? <br /> <br />Why is that I feel like <br />Because of these simple sunsets that beckon <br />That everything could be okay <br />Even if just for <br />A simple star-stolen second?<br /><br />K.
