A dark crow flies by a grave from the sky <br />It lands on my shoulder and stares at me <br />The crow says I’ll see you when you die <br />But all I can say is that I’m so so sorry <br />The crow was a sign for my horrible misdeed <br />Reminding me that it was me that killed her <br />I left her hanging for when she was in need <br />A memory of death got me thinking for sure <br />I welcome death I walk and it follows me but I don’t die <br />Everything around me is dead in ashes but exactly why? <br />She died and for that evil watches me constantly now <br />I just should have been there but I wasn’t somehow <br />The visits I got by the crow were four times a week <br />Swarms of crows grow and grow by the dark creek <br />I stand over a grave but my shadow does not appear <br />A cloaked woman smiles by the grave then she disappears <br />My name is carved in the grave I laugh <br />A presence behind me lingers in my path <br />The cloaked woman comes back in her hand is a picture <br />A picture of her that’s been taped I just couldn’t fix her <br />I fell to my knees and asked why are you doing this <br />A scythe appears to her hands out from the darkness <br />Crows gather around the ground repeatedly saying kill him <br />As she removes her hood she wipes the tears from my cheeks <br />She says I’m sorry but its time to die to atone for your sin <br />The grim reaper imitates her form and the way she speaks <br />I see through this petty disguise but I still lay down my life <br />Because I know there’d be no end to my tormented cries <br />Though the grim reaper seeks out weak-hearted souls <br />And I am nothing but one of those weak-hearted fools <br />But at least I got to see an image of her face again before I died <br />Now there’s no reason to shut out my thoughts or to ever hide<br /><br />sam, corrupt S, finley<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dark-crow/
