They said when you were growing up, <br />Do as your are told and you will be tough, <br />But tough is the name of the game these days, <br />So how tough can you get, <br />To be one with one these days? <br /> <br />I saw what it was to be tough and strong, <br />Made of the right stuff, <br />To be tough enough, <br />They say, <br />You can’t go wrong, <br /> <br />But then you take a break, <br />To stop, <br />See nature, <br />A break, <br />And what do they do? <br />Come at you in fatal draws, <br />To try and break, <br />That what is born in us all, <br /> <br />What is it they cannot see? <br />What is it they cannot try? <br />What is it they cannot hear? <br />What is it they cannot bear? <br />Its freedom <br />That’s what it is <br />Freedom! <br /> <br />So, <br />Be care free to make your great happenings, <br />To take that chance and see what happenings, <br />Or just get it right from, <br />Trial and error, <br />We all make mistakes, <br />To err is to forgive, <br />Not breaking the spirit, <br />Of what is within, <br /> <br />We are born with freedom, <br />To make mistakes, <br />Freedom! <br />To make it great, <br />Freedom! <br />To just be, <br />Free! <br /> <br />For in choice is freedom, <br />Freedom brings choice, <br />It is what makes us all unique, <br />Having freedom, <br />To make mistakes, <br />And start afresh, <br />All over again, <br />When at first, <br />We at first, <br />We get it wrong.<br /><br />Ellen Ni Bheachain<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/freedom-323/
